Care Chemists Mount Maunganui Ltd opened in 1997 and has grown into a very busy dispensing pharmacy. Rapid growth in our area, but more importantly, our absolute commitment to good old fashion service means that our patients just love using our services. Our expansion into a web based service makes sense as our good service will be able to be enjoyed by a wider group of people.

We were the first pharmacy in the world to develop and receive special ISO accreditation. We are that committed to quality. In 1998 we received the Tauranga Regional Business Awards Business of the Year ahead of some tough competition.

Care Chemists Mount Maunganui Ltd trading as Amcal Mount Pharmacy is located at 42 Girven Road, in the Bayfair Doctors Medical Centre. We are open 7 days from 8am. We have 7 Pharmacists and 4 pharmacy technicians to provide you with the best service and advice for all you health needs. Customers are welcome from any medical centre, prescriptions can be faxed or posted and we offer free delivery locally Monday to Friday.

Founder and Co-owner of Care Chemists Mount Maunganui Ltd,  a 7 day dispensing pharmacy adjoining a Medical Centre. Under Mark’s guidance Care Chemists Mount Maunganui Ltd (then Care Chemists Mt Maunganui) was the first pharmacy in the world to develop and achieve ISO accreditation and was also winner of the 1998 Tauranga Regional Business of the year award. Mark has served in education administration for a number of years (previously Deputy Chairman of the Central Institute of Technology, Chairman Oropi School Board of Trustees, Board member of Tauranga Intermediate Board of Trustees).

Recently retired as Chairman of Waipuna Hospice Inc Board (since Nov 2000) is also Chairman of Consumers Institute (joined the board in 2002).

An active sportsperson who still enjoys jogging, cycling, and swimming to help him stay fit and active.

Daphne has been with the Care Chemists Mount Maunganui Ltd team since 1999 as a pharmacist and specialising in clinical nutrition. Now a co-owner of the pharmacy with Mark, Daphne is also committed to providing the best service to our customers with the added value of nutritional information along side medicine advice.

Daphne has a holistic view to health and wellbeing using lifestyle, diet, nutrients, bio-identical hormones and medicine to achieve optimal health.

Daphne is a mother of 2 young children, who believes that good health starts at home with a wholesome diet, good nutrients, fresh air, exercise, sunlight exposure and lots of smiles and laughter to have the best quality of life.
